DIPWP - Duqm Integrated Power & Water Project

Marafiq is currently developing the first phase of an integrated Power and Water complex including NG fired 300MW combined cycle power plant integrated with a 1,500 m3/hr seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant and 65,000m3/hr Seawater Intake and Outfall Facilites (DIPWP) to meet the needs of Oman Oil Company’s Refinery projects located in Duqm SEZ. Marafiq’s DIPWP project is expected, to be operational in Q4 2020

132KV Power Transmission System to Ras Markaz

As part of the overall Duqm development, Marafiq will install and operate a 132KV OH transmission stretching some 80Km between its new DIPWP complex and Ras Markaz area. The facilities will include a 132/33KV Substation at Ras Markaz and should be completed by end 2019. A tender for the above works is in progress.

2,000 m3/day RO plant capacity for SEZAD

Marafiq commenced the construction of a reverse osmosis plant in SEZAD to produce potable water. The RO plant capacity is 2,000 m3/day. The project also includes purchasing potable water from 3rd party to uplift the volume to 2,700 m3/day. the subsequent phases will increase the potable water production to a total of around 7000m3/day before end of 2018.
